All Mercy Health facilities have a band of fabulous volunteers who help us improve the way we care for people. Some help out a few hours a month, others come in virtually every day.
We have volunteers of all ages, from teenagers to those who can remember when toilets were at the end of the garden!
The work can be varied, often rewarding and sometimes just downright fun.
Some volunteers help aged care residents to enjoy life and might simply take an elderly resident to the pub to watch the cricket, some help with gardening or picking up patients to take them to hospital.
Other roles include clerical support, meeting and directing patients or helping with fundraising.
