About Research

 

Mercy Health promotes research throughout the organisation, supporting  innovative projects and trials, across a range of areas; including obstetrics, gynaecology, mental health, paediatrics, reproductive medicine, aged care, midwifery and palliative care. The extent and diversity of research undertaken across the group, reflects a high level of interest and commitment to research and improvement in the delivery of care.

 

Human Research Ethics Committee

 

Our Human Research Ethics Committee reports to the Board of Mercy Health for all research projects, studies and trials undertaken at:

  • Mercy Hospital for Women
  • Werribee Mercy Hospital (including Mercy Mental Health).  Note: Applications to undertake research at Mercy Mental Health must firstly be reviewed by the program's Research Unit, before submission to the Human Research Ethics Committee.
